Whenever Watch & Smile reaches a big step in development, you'll find a patch on this page. You can then benefit from new functions before the next commercial version is available. Patches update the installed Watch & Smile application and fix bugs, if any.

IMPORTANT : This patch will only update a fresh CD install, not a previously updated version. If you have previously updated your installed version, re-install Watch & Smile from the CD, then run the latest patch.

PLEASE NOTE: This updater will modify the WATCH AND SMILE executable program file. It may not function properly with some antivirus programs that protect executable programs against changes. If you are running an Antivirus program, you may need to deactivate it before running the installer.

Watch & Smile Kit: Watch & Smile requires Windows support files (.DLL) that may not be installed if you performed a Custom or Minimum Windows Installation (for a Notebook, for example). If you get a "SysXtra missing" error message in Watch & Smile, download WS_kit.zip (1.7 MB). It will install the necessary support files.

Windows Version:

ws_update_207.zip (11.4MB) - 03/10/00 Instructions:
  1. Download we_update_207.zip.
  2. Uncompact it to obtain ws_update 207.exe
  3. Launch we_update 207.exe

Macintosh Version:

Update_WS_207.sit.bin(8.5MB) - 03/08/00 Instructions:
  1. Download Updater_WS_207.sit.bin.
  2. Uncompact it to obtain Update Watch & Smile
  3. Launch Update Watch & Smile

 
IMPORTANT: Watch & Smile 2.0.7 is split into two different applications:
  • Watch & Smile, to create your interactive multimedia presentations
  • Watch & Smile Player, to view them. Distribute this player freely with your exported films.
Watch & Smile Player uses a Films Import Export directory where you can place your exported movies. This directory is located at the same level as the application. If you place a film at the same level as the player, it will be played automatically. Put Watch & Smile Player (Mac or PC version) on the same CD-rom as your films.
