binuscan and Polaroid have worked together to develop binuscan PhotoPerfect for Polaroid, an automatic color correction and separation software package for exclusive use with Polaroid's SprintScan line of film scanners. Based on binuscan's world-renowned image processing RECO technology, binuscan PhotoPerfect works with color, black and white, both positive and negative originals. It works with the SprintScan scanners to automatically correct image color, sharpen images and produce professional quality CMYK separations.

The beauty is in the background

For the user, the true beauty of PhotoPerfect is that its Server application: binuscan IPM, does all of its work quickly in the background, while the end-user is scanning in the foreground. The process is completely transparent - it works behind the scenes, applying its process without slowing down other operations.

How it works

binuscan and Polaroid engineers integrated both applications (scanning and processing) and designed special user interfaces with two principle objectives: ensure high and consistent quality and make it as easy as possible to use.
Scanning with PolaColor Insight (Polaroid's newest scanner driver) set in binuscan mode, the user sends scans to binuscan IPM. With older models noàt supported by PolaColor Insight, binuscan PhotoPerfect accesses the scanner driver for acquisition of raw images. binuscan IPM processes the images automatically, in the background. The user just sees results!
And excellent results — scans that take advantage of Polaroid's 48-bit acquisition, adding the benefits of binuscan's professional quality.

One-Step Scanning

Forget hours of intensively retouching scanned images one by one. This solution offers the means to achieve high-quality printable images on the fly. All you have to do is place them in your page layout and output.
