This version history details Windows compatibility issues. All versions are Mac Os compatible. Version 4 minimum is required for use with Mac Os 8.

ColorPro v6.0.1 (10/00) CD issued

  • Same as v.6.0
  • Compatible with Windows Me (Millenium edition)
  • Fixes the IPM's wrong crop when using ColorPro's Viewer module
  • Little-endian/big-endian now effective (Mac only)
  • Fixes a problem with a compiling optimization (PC) resulting in non-editable sharpen values
  • Fixes an Installer bug failing to detect XPress 3.x on Windows 2000
  • Includes new versions of Rainbow/Rainport drivers
  • PC Installer no longer tries to install Rainbow/Rainport dongles automatically.
  • PhotoRetouch Pro is no longer included on the ColorPro CD.
    Instead, PhotoRetouch Pro Alpha version 0.0.7 CD (Mac) is shipped with every copy of ColorPro Suite 6.0.1 for Macintosh until PhotoRetouch Pro Version 1.0 was released (November 2001). After that, a PhotoRetouch Pro 1.x CD is included with ColorPro Macintosh Full version, not with upgrades (except the special upgrade offer from PhotoPerfect to ColorPro Suite). PhotoRetouch Pro is also available as a separate product.

ColorPro v5.02 (11/99) CD issued

  • Same as v5.01
  • IPM: as a server for multiple JobManager workstations, when several I/O directories are added, the JobManager workstations don’t need anymore to mount all the partitions of the I/O directories
  • IPM now takes the good sharpen value in the spec file
  • Fixes the EPS JPEG (CMYK and B&W) for which the preview was always in TIFF (NT only)
  • Fixes the inability of the IPM to process 16bits per channel images from the TMP directory
  • Fixes the problem with .low res images (PC) not visible from JobManager (Mac)

  • You need to copy the contents of the JOBMGR directoy to the XTENSIONdirectory of Quark XPress (readme.txt files included)
  • One 3D table included in the COR_DATA sub-directory of the MODULES directory, but you need to rename it into .bse instead of .bfc
